In progress
This guide is still being written.
Mobility123 is in the field installing this model. The full technical planning guide — specs, structural and electrical requirements, code references, NJ project cost ranges, and timelines — will publish here once we've completed enough installations to give you grounded numbers.
Why this guide is in the queue
Mobility123 installs more shaftless home elevators than any other category — Stiltz dominates the planning conversations because the Duo Alta and Trio Alta retrofit into existing homes without the construction overhead of a traditional shaft elevator.
When the guide publishes, it will cover:
- Ceiling height and floor-to-floor tolerances (the constraint that kills most retrofits)
- Floor-cut planning (existing joists, headers, structural prep)
- Drive-tube routing and where it lands on the upper landing
- 230V single-phase electrical service requirements
- ASME A17.1 §5.3 (private residence elevator) conformance
- NJ permit and inspection timeline
- Realistic NJ project cost range across new-build and retrofit
In the meantime
If you have a Stiltz Duo Alta project in scope today — especially a retrofit where ceiling height is uncertain — request a quote below. We'll measure the space and run the planning detail with you while the public guide is being written.
